• On the basis of examination of the population of regions and cities of the republic with the purpose of revealing the patients with HN&NMD and their families the database was created.
• The medical-genetic register of HN&NMD was worked out and introduced
• The consultation of over 2500 patients with HN&NMD and their relatives was carried out
• The help in diagnostics, treatment and medical genetic consultation of patients concerning the posterity prognosis was rendered
• The actions on rendering the humanitarian aid to separate groups of patients were implemented
• The vigorous activity on propagating medical genetic knowledge among the medical workers and population was conducted.

    In 2001 the employees of the association passed a ten-week training in the Training and Resource Center of NGOs of the Armenian Assembly of America under the program "The management of NGOs".
In 2001 the work under the grant given by NGOs of the Armenian Assembly of America was carried out.
In 2002 the association has received the invitation to take part in the work of theX-th International congress on neuromuscular diseases and in the session of General Assembly of the World Alliance of Neuromuscular Disorder Associations in Vancouver (Canada) July, 7-12, 2002 where we've submitted two scientific reports.
    On the pages of the newspaper "Medicinski Informationi Vestnik ", where the association has a constant heading, there are published the materials devoted to current problems of the association, propagation of medical genetic knowledge, to news in the field of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of hereditary diseases, popular scientific and educational articles.
The volunteers from among the medical students take part in the work of the association.
